Sania knocked out in finals
Indian tennis sensation and third seeded Sania Mirza was defeated by unseeded Lucie Safarova(CZE) who is currently ranked 65 in the world. She won the match in three sets.
Sania got to a good start by wining the first set 6-3 but Lucie got her act together to win the second set 7-5 and the third at 6-4. |

Sania in Forest Hills Finals.....
Sania Mirza defeated 15-year-old wild card Alexa Glatch 6-4, 6-4 Friday to advance to the final of the Forest Hills Women's Classic. She will face Lucie Safarova who defeated Iveta Benesova 2-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Paradorn Srichaphan defeated France's Cyril Saulnier 7-6 (7-3) 7-6 (7-5) at the Pilot Pen tournament in New Haven. He will play either Thomas Zib or David Ferrer in the last eight.
Sania enters quarterfinals....
Third-seed Sania Mirza has reached the quarterfinals of the $75,000 Forest Hills Women's Classic here. She made it to the last eight stage with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win over 59th-ranked Shahar Peer of Israel in a first-round match.
